seen on eBay sometime in the last year
I always knew the Routan was an imposter bus!

VW weren’t satisfied with the reliability of their electronics, so went to Mopar to bring back that MKIV vibe.

To tag onto sidewaysondirt’s comments, whenever I see a routan, I want to ask the driver “you know that’s just a chrysler, right?”
But I’m never sure, do they at least have VW drivetrains in them? (I mean, they might be cheaty, but at least the driver would have that smugness (smogness?) to feel better.

I hated dealing with Routan parts when I worked at an Audi/VW parts distribution center. Their part labels were very small and the description on the label itself was not easy to read.
It also seemed like every little nut and bolt was individually packaged too.
ugh.

Actually even worse. It doesn’t have stow n go seats, so it’s objectively less useful as well. Looks marginally better I guess.

And the worst part about it is the fact that they don’t even offer the stow-n-go seating of the Chryslers. That’s the most redeming thing about the Caravan!
So these people just paid more for a VW badged Caravan that has seats that don’t fold into the floor.

The only mechanical difference, is in the suspension. It’s more Like a Passat and less like a Haywagon(dodge), or large boat(Chrysler).
